If you’re not the type who parties until the wee hours on a regular basis, you may be a little worried about staying energized (and awake) from your ceremony to your reception to the after-party to the after-after-party…and beyond. Here are some pre-wedding words of wisdom to help you avoid completely crashing on your wedding night.
Start working out
If you’re not already on a fitness regime, it’s a good idea to start one in the weeks leading up to your wedding (Booya Fitness has several plans designed just for brides- and grooms-to-be). Working out isn’t just about looking great, it will also help you build up endurance and stamina so you can hit the dance floor all night long!
Get a good night’s sleep the night before
You may be tempted to stay out late post-rehearsal dinner, but it may be a good idea to cut out early and get some shut-eye. You may find it difficult to relax with all of those pre-wedding jitters, but you should at least give yourself as much time as possible to settle down (put your phone and devices away!) and, eventually, fall asleep.
We know you’re busy, but take the time to drink your eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day to replenish your body. And don’t make an exception just because it’s your wedding day. Having a wedding party member close by with a bottle of water for you to sip from is a good idea to make sure you don’t dehydrate which can cause all sorts of problems.
